Cayin CS-6PH
The Cayin CS-6PH Phonostage is the latest leading phonostage from Cayin Audio. The stunning CS-6PH offers two Phono inputs, with both MM and MC compatibility.
CAYIN CS-6PH
The 6PH is suitable for almost the most demanding elements because it supports the connection of turntables with two different cartridges or even the connection of two turntables, each with different MM or MC cartridges.
With a single simple selection on the front, you can choose to control the MM or MC input.
The CS-6PH is a flagship tube-only phono preamplifier and is built to the same incredibly high standards as Cayin's other tube amplifiers.
Two carefully hand-selected 6922 tubes from Electro Harmonix are used for MC reinforcement, two ECC83 tubes from JJ Electronics are used for MM reinforcement and use high-precision and tight tolerance RIAA equalization networks.
In the CS-6PH, the signal is then routed to the 12AT7 which serves as an output trap. In addition, the CS-6PH uses two RCA 22DE4 for tube rectification to minimize the wrinkle effect of current interference.
CAYIN CS-6PH
The LOW/MED/ HIGH Gain switch is conveniently placed at the front of the CS-6PH and uses a very high-quality contact unit for the switching process. The amplification can be changed from 40dB to 57dB, 61dB or 65dB.
Usually the 40dB is for “moving magnet cartridges -MM” and the 57dB, 61dB and 65dB amplification settings are for “moving Coil -MC”.
The CS-6PH is set to 40 dB at the factory.
From the factory, the CS-6PH is set to 40dB and 47k ohm/47pF for MM.
It is the perfect starting point for most users.
The CAP switch on the front allows the input capacity of MM to be adjusted. You can choose to use 47pF or 100pF for MM, which covers almost all MM configurations.
The CS-6PH is also equipped with a flexible set of options for loading cartridges for MC cartridges.
The input impedance of the MC input can be adjusted to the needs of all high-end MC cartridges of 47 ohm, 100 ohm, 200 ohm, 470 ohm and 1000 ohm.
The impedance selector is located on the right side of the front panel, and again the switching is performed via a very high-end switching circuit that ensures that the signal path and therefore the musicality is kept at its absolute maximum performance in all load selections.
Filter
To achieve the very best sound results, a special low-through filter circuit has been used to prevent deflection of the low frequencies. On the front panel is a Rumble Switch where you can choose whether you want it on or off the circuit.
Exits
The CS-6PH offers both balanced analog output and unbalanced analog output, so you can connect to a wide range of high-quality amplifiers.
Power supply
With decades of experience in the development of exclusive handmade tube amplifiers, Cayin has always developed its own Transformers with its own technology.
In the CS-6PH, Cayin has specifically designed an incredibly custom-made EI Power Transformer for power supply, allowing the full unused potential of the design to be realized.
Combined with the ultra-low-noise voltage control circuit, the CS-6PH guarantees pure, low-noise and stable output power.

Each CS-6PH Phono preamplifier is assembled by hand in the Cayin factory by highly qualified technicians.
A final multi-step quality and listening test is performed, which not only checks every control and functionality, but also ensures that the sound meets the full Cayin reference standard.
