The Cayin 9084D MK2 monoblock amplifiers have been given a new facelift. With 300B tubes in the driver stage, and in combination with the 845 power tubes, these Cayin mono-blocks deliver a high single-ended output of 28 watts (class A) per channel.
Each mono-block uses hand-tuned TUNG-SOL 6SL7 and 6SN7GTB tubes that, after prolonged testing, proved to be the best musically.
Combined with the SC-6LS MK2 (see here), these tube monoblock amplifiers create a soundscape that is both organic and clean, but has an immense drive and control, reproducing the dynamic realism of your musical input, whether it's CD, vinyl or mp3s.
Externally accessible controls and display via the integrated meter allow the user to easily adjust the optimal operating supply point of the 845 tubes, making rolling pipes a breeze!
Cayin developed two different transformers: A eringeal transformer, which has high inductance and low resistance, allowing an incredibly high efficiency in the power supply.
The output transformer's EI transformer uses a special, multi-layer winding process to achieve a particularly balanced and realistic sound – this design has proven to be the heart and soul of Cayin sound.
